DRIMSYNIE HOLIDAY HOME
IMAGE GALLERY
Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village sits at the head of Loch Goil, and is located 48 miles north west of Glasgow within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park (Sat Nav post code PA24 8AD). Car transport is essential due to the remote location of the Park, although there are limited bus services available between the adjacent village of Lochgoilhead and other surrounding villages. The most direct route to the Park is via the A82 from Dumbarton along the western shore of Loch Lomond, taking a left turn at Tarbet heading east along the A83 which takes you around the northern head of Loch Long through Arrochar. The Park is signposted off the A83. Care should be taken along the B828, a narrow single car width road with regular passing places, its meandering and undulating course takes you through beautiful countryside to the Park.
The Park will appeal to both young families and those seeking a quieter retreat to get away from it all. The lodge is perched on the hillside set back from Loch Goil with surrounding mountainous terrain providing spectacular views whatever the weather! The Drimsynie House Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the lodge and is where you will find most of the Parks facilities including a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a gym, a large indoor play area for children, a bar and restaurant, a coffee shop and a 9 hole golf course. The lodge is designed to make the absolute most out of the stunning views with its centre lounge leading outside onto a decking area, and two of the three bedrooms also look out over Loch Goil. The lodge will comfortably sleep 6 with a double bed in the master bedroom and two twin bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en suite shower, toilet and basin. The accommodation also includes a separate bathroom, as well as a spacious and well equipped kitchen diner.
Whilst we would recommend taking essentials with you, there is a small supermarket and a launderette on site. There are also a variety of supermarkets within the nearest major towns of Dunoon, Greenock and Dunbarton. Beware of the midges! Unfortunately these little beasties are common during the warmer months of the year, particularly at dawn and dusk. Go prepared!
